Our Story
Thirty Years of Surgical Excellence in the Monterey Bay
The Surgical Associates of Monterey Bay and the Vein Clinic of Monterey Bay have served the California Central Coast community since 1996. The practice began with Dr. Lawrence Spingola (retired) and has grown into a respected group of two board-certified surgeons and two physician assistants — all committed to the communities of Salinas, Santa Cruz, Watsonville, and the surrounding region.
We are proud to deliver professional, personal, and high-quality surgical and vein care to patients across Monterey and Santa Cruz counties. From minimally invasive vein procedures to complex surgical cases, every patient benefits from the same commitment to excellence that has defined our practice for three decades.
In 2023 and 2024, our clinic performed more than 2,850 pre- and post-treatment leg ultrasounds and more than 1,000 in-office vein procedures — because experience matters most.
